Strictly speaking, climate tech is any technology used to combat the effects of climate change or prevent further environmental impacts to the earth’s ecosystem or inhabitants.
From drought-resistant crops to sophisticated software solutions and carbon-capture technologies, climate tech’s definition continues to expand as the needs grow more critical. Once considered an environmental science of last resort, climate tech has now come to represent the urgent innovations we need today to release ourselves from a fossil-fuel-burning world where global temperatures continue to rise unabated.
